Command Z is making an attempt to raise awareness about global warming and wants to encourage commuting students to ride the MAX to reduce auto emissions. We feel that our group name lends a special chance to help the world "undo" the wrongs that we as a species have caused our planet for far too long.

The term has been thrown around so much that it's almost moving with it's own volition nowadays. There has always been two different camps when dealing with global warming: the believers and the naysayers. Now, we're not here to take sides. Certainly, two community college students are not buoyant enough to stay afloat in this massive debate. There's enough believable evidence out there both for and against global warming, from legitimate, credible sources like National Geographic and the E.P.A. That it's enough to make your everyday student go crazy. That's precisely it, your everyday students. We here at Command Z are suggesting a completely different view on global warming: "Who cares if global warming is real or not?" Does the media need to give a name to everything in order for it to feel more or less like a perceivable threat?

As Shakespeare once wrote: "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet...". Surely the time and energy spent bickering could be time spent bettering. It's this new, indifferent thought camp that we at Command Z find ourselves in, and we intend to bring you with us. In the neighborhood of bettering, there are a few things we would like to accomplish. We are targeting students in the Portland-Metro area. On a grander scale, really anyone who drives to and from school and work. Anyone who might understand that regardless if driving an SUV is actually "heating up the globe", it's surely putting a ton of toxins into the air that their children and their children's children will have to breathe for generations. Using this methodic, guerilla-style marketing campaign, we're going to show these students and families that the great Captain Planet had it right all along: "Looting and polluting is not the way..." It's up to you, the consumer, to make the decisions about your life. However, leave it up to us at Command Z to make recommendations along the way.
