News Director at KBBI-AM 890. I have worked for five years in the radio business, mostly doing doing news, but also a little bit on the music side. I started out in a commercial news/talk setting at KXL radio in Portland and have moved on to work at three different public radio stations. I spent two and a half years as the host and producer of the award-winning weekly show the Alaska Fisheries Report, which originates from KMXT in Kodiak. Recently, I took over as news director for KBBI in Homer, Alaska. I also work closely with KDLL in Kenai, Alaska.

Casey was Host and Producer of the Alaska Fisheries Report for KMXT and the Alaska Public Radio Network APRN. He also covered local schools and politics for the city of Kodiak and the Kodiak Island Borough.

Before attending MHCC, Casey earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Oregon in 2002 and is a 1998 alum of David Douglas High School.

While in MHCC's Radio Broadcasting program, he interned and/or worked at News Radio 750 KXL-AM, KUFO-FM, and KMHD-FM. For the past two years he's been the On-site Producer for KINK-FM during the Waterfront Blues Festival. He also served as PD for the college's student-run station, KDOX.
