GD 115: Digital Typography II

This is the second in a three-term sequence on the study of letterforms and their appropriate and effective use in visual communications. Students will use page layout and drawing software on the Macintosh computer. Emphasis will be on working with editorial design principles as well as creating original lettering solutions while incorporating color. Sensitivity to the spatial relationships between letters, words, lines and columns of type with a concern for legibility is stressed. (Adobe Illustrator and InDesign software)
