GD 114: Digital Typography I

This is the first of a three-term sequence on the study of letterforms and their appropriate and effective use in visual communications. Typographic mechanics will be examined from both historic and contemporary perspectives. Projects which explore the vocabulary, structure, formal and applied aspects of typographic composition will be assigned using digital page layout and drawing software. (Adobe Illustrator software)
